Nehemiah & Amza CURTIS who were in Tompkins County by early 1800s are belived to be the sons of David & Hannah (BRYANT) CURTIS. David was b.1712 MA and Hannah was b.3-24-1716 and d.8-2-1800 MA.
The two youngest of their 10 children were Nehemiah & Amza who were born in MA in 1757 and 1760 respectively. David was the s/o Benjamin & Mary (Besse) CURTIS, it is believed.
Nehemiah CURTIS b. ca. 1757 MA, bpt 8-14-1757. He d. 27 Jan 1825 and is buried in Ithaca City Cemetery. He married Hannah STANDISH on 27 June 1780 at Plympton, MA. She was b.ca.1760 and d. 8 Nov 1836 and bur'd Ithaca City Cemetery, Ithaca, Tompkins Co., NY.
