She stated that he is buried at Clark's Corners Cemetary near Harford, Cortland County. Harford Town Clerk could not verify death or burial of Isaac Wilson Parker. They then went to Wisconsin, and Cyrus stayed in Northfield, MN. Electa may have been in Wisconsin already and married to Arthur Race, or she also came in 1900 with her parents. Parker and sons, Fred and George of Cumberland, Homestead Claim in 1993, Katherine and her mother, Emma Zola Parker Strom, went to Northfield and found Cyrus Parkers children and grandchildren. According to Katherine Strom Edlund, great grandaughter of Horace E Parker, Horace gave 10 acres of land to be used as a cemetery. It is the Rosewood cemetery where Kate Parker and Electa and Freds mates and children are buried. She went there and there are no tombstones. There is a sign that the 4-H members painted and put up with all the names of the people buried there. Fred always wanted to bring Kates remains and have themin the family plot in Earl WI., but it was too expensive. Fred and his family were very poor. Horace married (1) Kate Muckey daughter of John Muckey and Catherine Gunn in Harford, Cortland Co., New York. Kate was born on 1 Sep 1841 in Lapeer, Cortland Co., New York. Ann Hollenbeck Benham) When I was 6 years old, on the 13th day of July 1850, there came to me the first great sorrow of my life, the death of my mother. Only those who have been through it can realize the unclutterable trouble that comes to the heart when such a love one passes away. She was a sincere Christian and died with a bright hope for the future. She was buried in a little private cemetery near Location and Caroline Depot. My Little sister Amy died the 2nd of October that year and brother Wilson died 28 Feb. 1851 the next year. In 1852 the family moved to a place near Ithaca, NY and in the spring of 1853 father bought a place about two miles from Caroline Center and moved to it. About three years later father moved to another place a mile or so away and it was while there that sister Rhoda married Gilson Ball 18 Nov 1857. She lived many years at Berkshire, Tioga Co., NY., on a little farm and had a house in town. She was living there in 1866 at the close of the war, and had two children; Charles H Ball and Eliza Ball. After Rhoda's marriage the housekeeping devolved on Grandmother Parker and myself, but in the fall of 1858 father broke up housekeeping. Grandmother went to live with her son Thomas Parker. Brother George Wesley Johnston had gone to live with a Mr. Robinson who had a saw mill a few miles from there. I went to stay with a Mr. Shelden who lived near Dryden, NY. There he married and left a son, Conrad Hollenbeck, who lived to the unusual age of 106 years. He is buried at Sweden Valley, Potter County, PA. Conrad Hollenbeck was married in Cortland County NY to Rebecca Edwards, and his son, John, became a prosperous farmer at Hebron, PA. to which place he removed after his marriage to Emily Parker, a native of Virgil, Cortland County, NY. After attending the district schools of his native county, Conrad Hollenbeck was graduated from Mansfield PA College in June 1869 and then began the study of law in the office of Isaac Benson at Coudersport PA. He was admitted to the bar in 1871 and for about 6 years practiced his profession at Coudersport. From his childhood Conrad Hollenbeck was bred to habits of industry and thrift. He earned his first dollar when but 9 years old by building fires for the teacher at the country school which he attended and during his school years he assisted in the work upon his father's farm. In the spring of 1864 at the age of 16, he enlisted at Williamsport PA in the 207th Regt Pa Vols as a private and participated in all of the battles of the Army of the Potomac from the Battle of the Wilderness to the surrender of Lee. He was married May 9 1877 to Jannett Knox at Coudersport, and at once started west, settling in the same month at Fremont, Neb, which has ever since been his home. He has always been a democrat. He was a member of the legislature of Pennsylvania in 1874 and 1876. In 1890 he was elected County Attorney of Dodge County, continuing in the office until 1895; was a delegate in 1896 to the Democratic National Convention at Chicago and in 1898 he was elected judge of the 6th judicial district, which office he still holds. In the fall of 1901 he was the candidate of the fusionists for judge of the supreme court of Nebraska, but was defeated at the election with the rest of his ticket. He was later elected and in 1914 was elected chief justice of Nebraska. His long tenure of important judicial offices attests the high public esteem which he enjoys.
