Sarah was the daughter of MCPHERSON, Hugh Sinkler and VANETTEN, Sarah. She m. HAZEN, William 15 Oct. 1867. Sarah d. June 12, 1915 Candor, NY, at 77 yrs. Her body was interred Maple Grove Candor, NY. Alexandria, Va. in Co. K 97th. N Y. Vol...he was from Wellseyville, NY. Tioga County Battles; Wilderness-Spottsylvania-Court House Died of Wounds received in Service. Inlisted, Aug 3, 1863 in Co. A, 109th Regt. NY. Vol, he had redish hair and blue eyes. We have a picture of him taken in Alexandria, Va. and have letters that he wrote to his wife in Jan 23, 1863 from Alexandria, Va. Have some of his hair.

Catherine was b. 1826. Nelson C. Roe; was chairman and clerk in the Marathon Church Also a member of the Marathon Masonic Lodge in 1852 He removed to Lyons,Iowa. At the commencement of the Civil War, his patriotism moved him to raise a comp- any of soldiers of which he was made Captain, went into service, was with his company in sixteen sanguinary battles, and though he had an epaulette and sword belt shot off, he escaped unhurt.

Addison J. Roe; settled in Fort Wort, Texas in the early 1900's. There is a Book, called Roe Reunion, Pub. by Byron & Willard Company. Minneapolis, Minn. An account of the first gathering of all the Decendants of ( John M. Roe ) at the home of his son, Addison J. Roe, of Fort Worth, Texas. Monday, Sept. 23, 1907.
