Dec. 15, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have a completely updated record for Crowbar Point Cemetery in Ulysses. This cemetery is also known as Carman Cemetery, Camp Comstock Plot and Camp Bailiwick Plot.
Dec. 14, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have completely updated information for Groton Rural Cemetery. This is a work in progress -- currently, surnames beginning with A are availalbe. Thanks to Cheryl Hall for coding and making these records available.
Nov. 10, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated information, as well as a map and photo for Glen Hope Cemetery, located in Jenksville, Tioga County, NY. This cemetery is very close to Speedsville, in the Town of Caroline. Thanks to John Lamb and Cathy Knauff for all their hard work in compiling these records.
Nov. 02, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated the look for Bower Cemetery, located in North Lansing. You can now view a photo of the cemetery and link to a map from TopoZone. Thanks to Cheryl Hall for the photo and for coding this new file!
Oct. 20, 2004 (Genealogies)	We have a new genealogy Descendants of Daniel Davis, sent in by Chi Chi. It's quite extensive, if you have Davises in your tree, you'll want to check it out.

Aug. 30, 2004 (Star of the Month)	For this month's Star of the Month, we offer a special tribute to those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, the friends and families who mourn them, and the military personnel who have given their lives fighting for our freedom.

Aug. 18, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated Roe Cemetery, in Brookton. We have given it the new look, added a map link and a lovely photo by Janet Nash.
July 16, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated Connecticut Hill Cemetery, located in Newfield, with the new look and some photos by Cathy Knauff.

July 05, 2004 (Cemeteries)	Congratulations to our Star of the Month, Paul Woods! Paul has been a stealth volunteer these last few years, by virtue of his being married to the webmaster. He has helped us out of countless technical "issues", and is responsible for our fabulous search engine. He set it up, arranged for it to search all the surrounding counties and hosts it on his own server. Congratulations, Paul!
June 18, 2004 (Cemeteries)	Caroline Grove Cemetery, located in Caroline, has had a face lift, a beautiful photograh added (thanks to Cathy Knauff) and the cemetery has been re-walked to verify records. Thanks to JanMarie and Cathy!
June 17, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have a brand new cemetery to add to our records: Taughannock Farm Plot, located in Ulysses. Thanks to Joel Horton, Susan Wheeler and C.W. Finch for the information!
June 17, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have new information for the Halseyville Farm Plot. Although this cemetery has not yet been located, we have extensive notes on the family who lived there.
June 11, 2004 (Military)	We have an interesting new link for the Military page: The WWI Diary of Wilfred H. Allen .
June 6, 2004 (Census)	Cheryl Hall has transcribed and coded files for Deaths listed in the 1850 Census. You can now view the following towns from the Census page: Caroline, Danby, Dryden, Enfield, Groton, Hector, and Ulysses. Thank you, Cheryl!
June 5, 2004 (Off-Site Resources)	We've added a link to a site that lists the institutions and libraries that own Sanborn Insurance Maps.
June 1, 2004 (Star of the Month)	We'd like to give a huge attaboy to Bill Hecht, our Star of the Month! We don't know how he does it, but Bill continues to add huge amounts of beautifully scanned maps and photos of the Fingers Lakes area to his website. May 17, 2004 (Census, Town of Ithaca)	Cheryl Hall has compiled listings for Deaths in the 1850 Ithaca Census and Deaths in the 1850 Lansing Census for our Census section, which you can also access via the Towns pages. Thanks, Cheryl!
May 13, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We've updated the look and added map for South Hill Cemetery, located in Ithaca, and the only designated Veterans cemetery in Tompkins County.
May 12, 2004 (Cemeteries)	Cheryl Hall discovered a little gem in an issue of Yesteryears: a record for "the cemetery on the Karn Farm" recorded by Isabelle Parish. It is called Robinson Cemetery elsewhere. We have called it Karn Farm Cemetery, and it's a brand new record with one burial. Thanks to Cheryl for discovering it and coding the file.
April 27, 2004 (Off-Site Resources)	We've got a friend in Irene Johnson, the creator of Twin Tiers Genealogy and History website. You'll find tons of information on Tompkins County, so if you have nothing to do tonight, why not check out her site?
April 27, 2004 (Where to Write)	The DeWitt Historical Society has changed its name and has a new website. We have revised the organization's information on our Where to Write page. For more information, read Carol Kammen's article in the Ithaca Journal.
April 21, 2004 (School)	Debra Jean Faust, the Oxford Twp., Oakland county, MI Coordinator, and Kim Kowalczyk have sent us a wonderful little gem: the 1896 Cornell University List of Graduates from the Cornell University Yearbook/Annual of that year. Thank you, Debra and Kim!
April 12, 2004 (Census, Military)	We have a link to a new resource: 1840 Census of Pensioners Revolutionary or Military Services for the entire state of New York.
April 12, 2004 (Off-Site Resources)	We've got a new link in the Off-Site Resources section: Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness.
April 6, 2004 (Cemeteries)	Ta da! Today we are unveiling a brand new cemetery, at least for our site. Stearns Cemetery, located in Groton, is a brand new record for us. Cheryl Hall transcribed and coded this file, and Janet Nash provided the photo, and there is a link to a map courtesy of TopoZone. Thanks Cheryl and Janet!
April 1, 2004 (Star of the Month)	Congratulations to Juanita Griffin, our April Star of the Month! Nita serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Groton Rural Cemetery Association, and she spent the fall of 2003 putting the cemetery burial records into digital format. Nita recently donated a copy of those records to us, which will greatly add to the information we have online. Nita also donated the records of her mother, Dorothy Ostrander, past Town of Groton Historian. This is a huge gift, one we are still poring over, but the new record we have for Lane Cemetery in Lansing, for which we previously had no recording, is just one jewel among these records. Thank you, Nita!
April 1, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have a brand new record for Lane Cemetery, located in North Lansing. The exact location of this cemetery is unknown, but it is believed to be on Breed Road. Until now, we had no information for this cemetery, as the stones were removed sometime in the past. This record is part of a larger donation from Nita Griffin (see above). Thank you, Nita!
March 25, 2004 (Genealogies)	We have a new genealogy for the Bellis Family, and related surnames. (Many Bellises are buried in Davis Cemetery, below.) Thanks to "Beachy" and Ruth Beach for this genealogy!
March 25, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated the look of Davis Cemetery, in Ithaca.
March 25, 2004 (Scrapbook)	Cathy Knauff has transcribed Marriage and Death notices in Newspapers from index cards on file at Olin Library (Cornell University). Thanks, Cathy!
March 15, 2004 (Cemeteries)	McLean Catholic Cemetery is missing no more! Thanks to our esteemed coordinator's midnight epiphany and a little brain juice from Cheryl Hall, we have located this cemetery and the record is as complete as possible.
March 15, 2004 (Ulysses HS)	We have updated information for the Ulysses Historical Society Museum.
March 09, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have an updated West Danby Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, with a photo and the new look. Thanks to Cheryl Hall for coding the file!
March 09, 2004 (Genealogies)	Tom Clark has donated two genealogies to the site: Descendants of David Clark and Descendants of Deacon Hezakiah Clark. Tom welcomes information from other researchers, his email is at the end of each file. Thanks, Tom!
March 01, 2004 (Star of the Month)	Congratulations to Rita Harris, our Star of the Month! Rita, who is Secretary/Treasurer of the Green Hills Cemetery Association, is the reason our records for this active cemetery are so complete. Every year, she updates our records, and she also donated a wonderful history of the cemetery as well. Congratulations Rita, you are our Star of the Month!
March 01, 2004 (Cemeteries)	The day has arrived, the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery (Old Section) project is finished! This file was a huge undertaking two years in the making, and many people were involved in making it happen. Nina (Christofferson) McAndrews and her late husband, Pat, spent several years clearing the old ground, and cleaning headstones in this old section of the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery. Nina has recorded the cemetery by walking it and reading headstone inscriptions. Nina, along with her sister, Sarah (Christofferson) McKane, finished recording the cemetery in the summer of 2001. In the fall of 2001, Nina, Sarah, and Cheryl walked the cemetery comparing Nina's records to the headstones as an additional check. In February 2003, the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery Association donated their burial records. This record is a combination of Nina's records and the burial records of the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery Association. Please note that this cemetery has two sections, Old and New, and this record is the Old section. The New section has not been recorded. Thanks to Cheryl Hall for coding this file, and to Nina, Sarah and the Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery Association for all their hard work.

February 26, 2004 (Off-Site Resources)	There is a new link in the Off-Site Resources section: the index of the book Beaver Dams Homestead, the Diaries of Truman G. Beecher 1862 - 1887, which is listed on the Schyler Co. NYGenWeb site.

January 23, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updates to the Gleason surname for Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located in Ithaca, sent in by Vin Stevens. Sorry it took so long to get these up. Thanks Vin! We also have updates to Evergreen Cemetery (Brown surname) and West Groton Cemetery (Coggshall).
January 16, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have a brand new file to add to our records: Barney Merian Family Graveyard, located in Ithaca not far from the Marion Family Burying Ground. Melvin and Beverly Marion, and Janet and Stephen Nash walked the cemetery and recorded it. Janet Nash coded this file and took the lovely photograph.
January 16, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated Walker Family Cemetery and Lanterman Family Cemetery, both in Lansing, with the new look. We hope to add photos this summer.
January 15, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have updated Bush Family Cemetery and Drake Family Cemetery with the new look. Both cemeteries are on private property; unfortunately, photos are not possible.
January 15, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have added a photo to Newfield Village Cemetery. The photo was taken by Cathy Knauff.

January 08, 2004 (Deeds)	Jim & Georgianna Stevenson, Wendy Stevenson, & Lynn Stevenson-Fisher have sent us a couple of pages of Land Deed index entries, half of which went up before the holidays. The other half is now up and we thank the Stevensons for sending in this information.
January 08, 2004 (Photo Album)	Ed Pickering has sent in a lovely photograph of the 1910 First Communion Class of the Immaculate Conception Church in Ithaca. If you recognize anyone in this photo, please email us. Thanks to Ed for sending us this photograph!
January 08, 2004 (Cemeteries)	We have lots of updates for Green Hills Cemetery, in Dryden, especially for Clark and Lindsey surnames. These updates were sent in by Rita Harris, Sec./Treas. of Green Hills Cemetery. Rita and her husband are doing a lot of work to updates the cemetery's records. Thanks to both of them!
January 06, 2004 (Star of the Month)	We'd like to congratulate our Star of the Month, Cheryl Hall, whose name should be familiar to anyone who is a regular visitor to the site. As far as we can tell, Cheryl spent her entire summer taking terrific photos of cemeteries for us to use on the site, and passed her entire Christmas break coding cemetery files with our new look. We don't know what we would do without her -- congratulations, Cheryl, you are our Star of the Month!

UPCOMING PROJECTS
	We have a great update for Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Ithaca. This is a wonderful example of a truly collaborative effort, no less than 13 people worked on it: Emily Ramirez, Mindy Morris, Heather Coe, Colleen & Lisa, Josie Lee, Alana Hill, Jennifer Oler, Heather Lybbert, Kristina Christopherson, Carly Rencher, Alexa Dimick, and Carolyn Hurt. We hope to have this file up soon.
	Catherine "Kay" Martin has donated the 1860 Census for Groton, and is in the process of transcribing it. The first section is up.
	A missing cemetery has been found! Cathy Knauff and her anonymous cohort (our esteemed and modest Coordinator) have found and recorded Pleasant Grove Road Burial Ground, located in Ithaca.
