Herkimer- C. Lee Brainard, 77, a resident of Folts Home for the Aged the past two years, died there Sunday.
He was born in Hartford, Pa. He married Ruth E. Taber in 1908 in Newfield where he had operated the Newfield General Store until retiring about 10 years ago. He a member of the Newfield Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, also a resident of the home, he leaves two sons, Richard R., Schenectady and William E., Towson, Md., and a brother, R. G. Brainard, Clarks Green, Pa.

The funeral will be at 2 tomorrow from the Allen Funeral Home, Newfield, with the Rev. Lester W. Wakeman, superintendent of Folts Home and the Rev. Jack Kissel, pastor of the Newfield Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Town of Newfield.

Herkimer- Mrs. Ruth E. Brainard, 75, a former resident of Newfield, died Tuesday in Folts Home, where she had resided since December 1962.
She was born in Newfield, daughter of William and Mary Sebring Taber. She was married to C. Lee Brainard in Newfield. He died in 1964. Mrs. Brainard was a librarian in Newfield and a member of the Methodist Church there.
She leaves two sons, Richard of Schenectady and William of Towson, Md., and a brother, Lawrence S. Taber of Newfield.

The funeral will be a 2 Friday from the Allen Funeral Home, Newfield, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery there.

Dalton, Sept 4- Mrs. Evelyn Dassance, 78, of Newfield died Aug 12 in Tompkins County Hospital. Survivors include her husband Hiram Dassance, of Newfield and a stepsister, Miriam Aylor of Dalton. She was a daughter of the late Chester G. Sanford.
