Feb 28th 1804 then Met the Overseers of the poor. Supervisors and Town Clerk of the Town of the Town of Ulysses and Dryden and Divided the Money Lodged in the Poor Masters hands at the time Sd. Towns was Divided and Delivered to Dryden as follows

County of Seneca Town of Ulysses Statement of votes taken at the anniversary Election for Representative to Congress which commenced on the last Tuesday of April one thousand Eight hundred & four

County of Seneca Town of Ulysses Statement of Votes taken at the Annaversary Election for Member of Assembly which commenced on the Last Tuesday of Aprl. One thousand Eight Hundred and four

We certify the above to be a true Statement and estimate of the whole Number of votes taken the aforesaid Election for the above Candidates the 24th 25th & 26th Day of Aprl. 1804

At a Special Town Meeting held at the House of Moses DEVENPORTS on the 11 Day of May 1804 agreeable to publick notice given for that purpose of passing a Town Act to prevent People Keeping Cattle (belonging to Inhabitants of other Towns) in said Town to run at large and eat the Grass and Herbage necessary for the support of our own Cattle, and to nominate Suitable Persons for Justices of the Peace and for settling of the part of the Town East of the Inlet to Cayuga County & to be annexed to to the Town of Milton and any other Business that might come before the Meeting on said Day -

Voted - that Joseph S. SYDNEY Nathaniel DEVENPORT and Thomas MARTIN Esqr. Be a committee to Draw up an act to prevent persons harbouring or Keeping Cattle to run at large belonging to Inhabitants of other Towns, and prevent other Inhabitants of other Towns Driving in Sd Cattle with intent to Leave them

Whereupon the Committee Submitted the following propositions which were agreed to by a unanimous vote and ordered the Town Clerk to Record the same as a unanimous vote of the Town of Ulysses

1st -- That any person or persons bringing any Cattle into this Town to leave them to eat the Grass & herbage be fined four Dollars per Head

2nd -- That any person or persons salting or Keeping Cattle belonging to Inhabitants of other Towns without his own Enclosure be fined four Dollars per Head -

3rd -- That this Town Meeting - the same fines to be collected before any Magistrate in any other Town in this County after the Refusal of the person or persons Keeping or Leaving or Salting said Cattle (being duly notified by the Town Clerk at ten Days notice) to remove said Cattle -
