Oct. 3, 2002 | Congratulations to our Featured Star of the Month, Dennis Whittaker! Over the summer Dennis has been re-setting and repairing headstones in Yates Cemetery in Slaterville Springs. To date Dennis has put in over 120 hours of volunteer labor in this project. His hard work will preserve much of the history of the people who are buried here. (Click the Yates Cemetery link to see the fully-updated records of this cemetery, a burial map, and photos of the cemetery work in progress. They are off-site now, but will be moved soon to the Tompkins County site.) | |
