It is believed that John and Rhoda Bishop
are also buried here. Some family history on this family John Bishop, born
1774 in Marbletown, NY - died Dec. 5, 1862 in Caroline, Tompkins NY.
He was the son of Asa & Rebecca (Winchell) Bishop. Asa Bishop born Aug. 23, 1752, in MA. Rebecca Winchell born 1750. John Bishop married Rhoda Austin, who was born 1777 in Mass., and died in Caroline, NY in 1871. Intestate papers - Tompkins Co., NY has the following: John Bishop of Caroline, NY, died Dec. 6, 1862, Probate August 21, 1865; Widow, Rhoda Bishop; Son, Austin Bishop - Caroline, NY; Dau., Abigail wife of Jacob Reed; Son, John James Bishop - Ithaca, NY; Dau., Delight Schutt, Caroline, NY; Dau., Azubah Ann wife of Alfred Gould, Caroline, NY; Son, Miles Bishop - Caroline, NY; Dau., Rebecca Miller, deceased - left Melissa Miller; Dau., Eliza Longcoy, deceased - left; Frank Longcoy |
