Brearley | Catherine | wife of Joseph Brearley d. Jan. 20, 1875 age 84 yrs., 9 mo. |
Brearley | Mary Amanda | daughter of Joseph & Catherine Brearley, died Oct. 23, 1829 age 8 yrs., 8 mo., 18 da. (headstone is no longer in view) |
Brearley | Hattie | "Little Hattie Has Left Us" d. Feb. 21, 1856 age 8 yrs. Note: Believe she was the dau. of David & Mary (Fuller) Brearley, and the granddaughter of Joseph & Catherine Brearley. It is also said that Little Hattie Brearley died from being dragged by a horse down the road. After her death they named the road in which she had been dragged to death after her. This is how Brearley Hill Road received the name. It is also said that a monument once was placed next to her headstone with the story of her death. It is unknown what happened to the memorial monument. |
