Ludlowville Pine Grove New Section (Annex) Cemetery

The Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery Association was incorporated in 1869 to purchase and continue burying grounds established by the Presbyterian Church Society of Ludlowville, when the financial requirements became more than the church was able to maintain. A second area was added when the first was nearing capacity.

The current active area, known as the "new section" or the "annex" was acquired in 1908. There are approximately seven acres, about half of which remains unused and available. It can be found approximately one mile north of Lansing Central Schools on NYS Route 34-B, with a GPS location of 520 Ridge Road, Lansing, New York.

It is a serene and peaceful area, sloping gently eastward toward adjoining wooded areas. Burials here are in keeping with Native American tradition that, in their final resting place, one should face the rising sun.....and here the sun rises early, warm and bright.
