Hollister Family Cemetery

On the Old Kinner Hollister Homestead.
This cemetery is on Hollister Rd. From Route 79 in Slaterville Springs, traveling toward Dryden on Midline Rd., at a curve there is Hollister Rd, this cemetery is about 1/8 mile up Hollister Rd on the left hand side of the road, on a small knoll.
 
Town of Dryden, Tompkins County, NY.
Cemetery is inactive, and on private property.

born Jan. 13, 1783, Olive, Ulster Co., NY.
He came to Town of Dryden in about 1813
Mary Hollister Mary wife of Kinner Hollister, DIED Feb. 3, 1849 AE 65 Y'RS Married May 5, 1805
Mary Whichell born Sept. 8, 1784
Sarah Ann Hollister daughter of Kinner & Mary Winchell Hollister,
born Dec. 11, 1808, Ulster Co., NY died March 21, 1825
(No Headstone found for her in 2003)
Buried next to her parents on the old homestead.
A story of a saw mill accident has been known.
It is said that Kinner Hollister lost a teen aged daughter due to the blade coming off the saw mill and she was killed and buried on the homestead.
