ITHACA DAILY JOURNAL - Thursday, Jan 14, 1892 (Newfield)

Judge ALMY and wife, Simeon SMITH and wife, Ed. BURRITT and wife and Mr. EVANS and wife of Ithaca, were guests of Miss Addie ESTABROOKE last Friday.


Isaac ESTABROOKE of Catharine has purchased Mrs. HAMILTON's house and lot in this village. Consideration $1,000.


Adam BELL, an old time Newfielder, now of Illinois, is calling on old acquaintances and friends here.


The condition of Mrs. Jerome BOND is very critical and it is hardly expected that she can recover.


Edgar Brown returned from Scranton last week. He reports his brother to be improving.


Harvey HORTON, who was some years ago a resident of this town, died at Waverly, Saturday. A number of Newfield relatives attended his funeral, Tuesday.


Almerian TOMPKINS died last Saturday. The funeral was held at the house Tuesday at 11 o'clock. Mr. TOMPKINS was in the neighborhood of 80 years. His death was superinduced by an attack of the grip. He was one of Newfield's oldest residents and commanded the respect of all.

Ludlowville News

Mr. and Mrs. George Mack and daughter, Mrs. George CRATSLEY (Crately ?) and Mr. and Mrs. William MACK, left for Chicago on Wednesday of last week. The latter to go on to California for Mrs. MACK's health, and the rest are to visit relatives in Michigan.


ITHACA JOURNAL - April 28, 1924

MARRIED - On Thursday evening last by the Rev. Mr. Wisner, Mr. Daniel L. BISHOP to Miss Elizabeth PERKINS, all of this village.


On the evening of the 12th inst. by the Rev. Samuel Parker, Mr. Norval D. SMITH, to Miss Lucy CUTLER, all of Danby.


DIED - In this village, on the 17th inst. Mr. Bradford ALMY, aged 49 years.


ELOPEMENT.

WHEREAS my wife REBECCA, has left my bed and board, without any just cause or provocation, I hereby forbid all persons harboring her, or trusting her on my account, after this date. Enfield, April 26, 1924 - ROBERT TROTTER
