Petition of Alzina Van Order
State of New York,
To the Surrogate of the County of Tompkins
The Petition of Alzina VAN ORDER of the Town of Dryden in the County of Tompkins respectfully showeth: That James E. VAN ORDER of the Town of Dryden in the said County of Tompkins died in the said Town of Dryden on or about the 3rd day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. That at the time of his death he was an inhabitant of the County of Tompkins: That he left no will, as far as your petitioner has hear, or been able to discover: That he left the following widow & heirs. Your petitioner, his widow, of full age residing in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY., Seloria TICHENOR a daughter of full age residing in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY. Maud VAN ORDER, a daughter age 5 residing with your petitoner in Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY.
And your Petitioner further showeth: That all the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased do not exceed in value the sum of One Thousand dollars; and your Petitioner prays, that Letters of Administration of the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased may be granted by the Surrogate to your Petioner and Henry L. DUNHAM of Dryden in said Co. Dated January 29th 1875 Alzina VAN ORDER

On this 29th day of January 1875 personally appeared before me, in open Court, AlzinaVAN ORDER the above named Petioner, and made oath that the matters set forth in the above petition are true of her own knowledged, except as to the matters stated on information and belief, and as to those matters she believes it to be true.

Tompkins County, We, Alzina VAN ORDER and Henry L. DUNHAM do swear that we will well, honestly and faithfully discarge the duty of Administrators of the estate of James E. VAN ORDER
