Clarence F. CORNELIUS, 55, of 105 Utica Street died suddenly on Friday afternoon, October 19. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning, October 23 at the Gilbert Undertaking Parlors, 125 East Buffalo Street. Rev. William H. Powers will officiate. VAN PELT, Mrs. Phoebe A. (February 2, 1933)
Mrs. Phoebe A. VAN PELT, 90, died Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Floyd BUCKLER, at South Cortland, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in the Cortland Rural cemetery. Mrs. VAN PELT was a former resident of the town of Dryden.

Funeral services for John Howard KELLY of the Bostwick Rd, who died Friday, Oct. 22, 1948, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Wagner Funeral Home, 421 N. Aurora St. The Rev. Walter A. Dodds, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated.

MOSES, Pvt. Michael
A military funeral service will be conducted for Pvt. Michael MOSES of Freeville RD 1 at 2 p.m. Saturday at his home. The Rev. Michael Massabina of St. Michael's Syrian Church of Geneva will officiate.
Pvt. MOSES died in France, June 14, 1941, of wounds received in the Normandy invasion. At the time of his enlistment he was employed as an inspector at the Allen Wales Corp.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel MOSES of Freeville RD 1; four sisters, Miss Helen and Miss Martha MOSES of Ithaca and Mrs. Joseph MACKIE of Land-over-Hills, Md., and two brothers, George MOSES of Freeville and Joseph MOSES of Ithaca.
Burial will be in the family plot in the North Lansing Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence Friday afternoon and evening.

Funeral services for Joseph KRUPA of the Town of Lansing who died Monday, Oct. 25, 1918, were held at 8 a.m. today in the Shea Funeral Home, 314 W. LULL, Lt. Albert Raymond
Funeral services for Lt. Albert Raymond LULL, a bombardier with the Eight Air Force, who was killed on a bombing mission, Dec. 5, 1943, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wagner Funeral Home, 421 N. Aurora St. The Rev. Walter A. Dodds, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. LULL of Pine Tree Rd., he was graduated from Ithaca High School, Class of 1935, and from Cornell in 1939, where he belonged to Acacia Fraternity. He was 27 years old at the time of his death.
Besides his parents e is survived by his wife, the former Miss Jean STIRRAT of Schenectady; two brothers, Robert E. LULL of Corning and Harold M. LULL Jr., of New York City and a sister, Miss Adeline C. LULL of Acacia. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery, where Post 221 American Legion will conduct military rites.
Death Takes Prof. W. E. BLAUVELT
William Ernest BLAUVELT, professor of entomology at Cornell University, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 2, 1953, at his home on Taughannock Blvd., Ithaca RD 3. He had been ill but a few days. He was 49.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen H. BLAUVELT; a son, Andrew Hayden BLAUVELT, and two sisters, Mrs. Winston PERRY of Nyack and Mrs. Edward NEVINS of West Nyack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Woolworth Chapel, Webster Ave., and E. 233rd St., New York City. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, New York City.
Professor BLAUVELT was born July 2, 1903, in Mt. Vernon and was graduated from Haverstraw High School. He received a B. S. degree from Cornell in 1926 and a Ph.D. degree in 1934. After graduation he was assistant county agent in Orange County in 1927 and in Niagara County in 1928. He returned to Cornell as extension instructor in 1928 and became an assistant professor in 1935; extension associate professor in 1945, and a full professor in 1947. He had written numerous articles on insect control and received an award from the Society of American Florists for an insecticide he developed in 1948.
He was a member of Alpha Zeta Fraternity and Sigma X and Epsilon Sigma Phi, honorary societies, and of the Entomological Society of America and American Association of Economic Entomologists. He had been secretary and later chairman of the Extension Section of the latter society.
NEWHART, Franklin P.
Franklin (Frank) P. NEWHART, 63, of 328 Pleasant St., died unexpectedly Monday evening, Feb. 2, 1953, in Memorial Hospital. He was employed as a plater at the Adding Machine Division, National Cash Register Company. He was a member of Edison Ten Hive 938 of the Maccabees and Ithaca Chapter 666, Loyal Order of Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle NEWHART; a daughter, Mrs. Oliver ALGREN; two granddaughters, Sonja and Joanne ALGREN of Arlington, Va.; two brothers, Alfred NEWHART of Trumansburg and Lloyd NEWHART of Somerset, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Carlton MILLER of Ithaca and Mrs. Charles SWANK of Hughesville, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Henry G. Budd, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Eaglesmere, Pa.

Charles William MUSSER, Jr., 19-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. MUSSER, Sr. of Locke RD 2, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1953, in the Auburn City Hospital. Miss Luanna M. CARMAN, 63, of 207 Cascadilla Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1953, in Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in Jacksonville she was a graduate of Ithaca High School and received a B.S. degree from the College of Home Economics at Cornell in 1911 and an M.A. degree in 1913. She taught home economics in the Miami, Fla. High School from 1913 to 1946 when she retired. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Delta Gamma Sorority.
She is survived by a brother, Edward M. CARMAN of Englewood, N.J.; a sister, Miss Gladys C. CARMAN of High Point, N.C.; a newphew, Samuel L. CARMAN, and a niece, Mrs. Lewis JONES, of Englewood, N.J., and a cousin, Miss Madge SMITH of Ithaca. The body is t the Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Mrs. Lenia M. RENNEY, widow of Gilbert A. RENNEY, died at 5:30 last evening at her home in Punta Gorda, Fla. She is survived by two half brothers, Charles TUTHILL of Ithaca and John TUTHILL of Dryden. Mrs. RENNEY's died in Ithaca this morning. Mrs. RENNEY was a member of the Eastern Star, the Salone and Tourist Clubs of Florida, and of St. John's Episcopal Church of this city. This body will be brought to the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. George H. Tuthill, this city, and funeral arrangements will be made later.

HOCH, Frederich Philippe
Frederich Philippe HOCH, 73, of 361 Sagamore Drive, Rochester, formerly of 206 Yates St., died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, June 13, 1954, in Memorial Hospital, following a heart attack. For 55 years he had been a barber at the corner of State and Tioga streets. He retired in 1950 and moved to Rochester. He was a member of BPOE 636 of Ithaca and Ithaca Lodge 71 and Iroquois Encampment 16 of the Odd Fellows and the Tompkins County Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eldreida POPE of Rochester; a brother, George P. HOCH of Ithaca; a graddaughter, Mrs. Malette SEMONIN of Rome, Italy, and a grandson, Charles Linder POPE Jr. of Rochester.

Robert R. WILLARD, 70, a well known farmer of Dryden Lake Rd., Dryden RD 1, and a lifelong resident of that area, died at his home late Thursday evening, June 17, 1954, after a long illness. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Cortland and of Dryden Grange, Farm Bureau, and Fish and Game Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace SWEETLAND WILLARD; two daughters, Mrs. Freeman CARPENTER of Freeville and Mrs. Theodore HULSLANDER of Dryden RD 1; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Verner ROGERS of Livingstone; three nephews, and several cousins.

Hubert M. SMITH, 57, of 112 W. Cortland St., Groton, died unexpectedly Monday noon, June 14, 1954, while on the way to work at the Smith-Corona Inc., after being stricken with a heart attack. He had been employed at Smith-Corona Inc. for 35 years and at the time of his death was an adjustor. He was a member of Cortland Lodge Loyal Order of Moose. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth UNDERWOOD SMITH of Groton; a brother Albert SMITH and two sisters, Mrs. Marie VOGEL and Miss Nancy SMITH of Cortland, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Kathryn N. WALPOLE, 58, of the peru Rd. Died Tuesday morning, June 15, 1954, in Cortland County Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Edward WALPOLE, supervisor of the Town of Groton. She was born in Cortland April 13, 1896, the daughter of Thomas and Abbie GRENNAN NIX. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Thomas Edward WALPOLE; two daughters, Mrs. Alyce HARDER and Miss Josephine WALPOLE and two grandchildren, all of Groton, and a sister, Mrs. Frederick KETCHUM of Syracuse.

Harry C. GIVENS, 77, of Dryden RD died Monday, June 14, 1954, in Cortland County Hospital following a stroke suffered early Sunday. He was a member of the Dryden Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leora WATROUS GIVENS; a son, Morris GIVENS, both of Dryden; three grandsons, Duane of Goshen, Roger and George GIVENS of Dryden, and eight great grandchildren.

KELLEY, Charles
Charles Kelley, 62, of 214 W. Cortland St., Groton, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 17, 1954. He suffered a heart attack while he was at work in the town garage. He was a machine equipment operator and had been employed by the town for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel BLANCHARD KELLEY; 8 sons, Robert and James of Cortland, Albert of North Lansing, John of Groton, Donald, who is enroute home from Korea, and Carl, Paul and Roger KELLEY at home; two daughters, Mrs. Helen MCCORD of Cortland and Miss Catherine KELLEY of Groton; 10 grandchildren, a sister, Miss Mary KELLEY, and a brother, James W. James J. MILLER, 84, of 642 W. Onondaga St., Syracuse died June 15, 1954, after a long illness. He had been employed as a tailor by E. B. Baxter here for more than 28 years and later was at the Sport Shop before he moved to Syracuse a year ago to make his home.
He is survived by three daughters, Miss Dorothy R. MILLER of Syracuse, Mrs. Isabelle JACKSON of Villanova, Pa., and Mrs. Diana CORDER of Bridgeport, Conn.; two sons, Arthur A. MILLER of Syracuse and David T. MILLER of Chicago; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Newell H. BROWN, 74, died on Sunday morning, January 20, at his home in Asbury. He was a well known Lansing farmer. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, January 23, at the home. Rev. Leslie E. Gould will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. ROBERTSON of Auburn and one brother, Charles of Georgetown.
WHITELEY, Mrs. Inez O.
Mrs. Inez O. WHITELEY, 58, of Coddington Road, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1936, in the Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Allen, and two daughters, Mrs. E. N. GEORGIA of Enfield Falls and Mrs. Harold KELLOGG of Ithaca.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crance Funeral Home, 327 West State Street. The Rev. Lagrand Chase will officiate and interment will be in Lake View Cemetery at Interlaken.
DRAKE, Miss Francina L. (February 14, 1934)
Miss Francina L. DRAKE, 86, died at her home in Forest Home this morning. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Roy S. Smyres of the Forest Home Church will officiate.
She is survived by one sister, Miss Nellie DRAKE of Forest Home; five nephews, Carl D. BECKWITH of Ithaca, Arch F. DRAKE of Dryden, C. Fred DRAKE of Groton, Arthur E. DRAKE of Fulton and Samuel H. DRAKE of Groton, and two nieces, Mrs. C. W. MONROE of Freeville and Mrs. Emmett D. METZGAR of Binghamton.
SWEET, Durward T. (January 7, 1918)
Durward T. SWEET, 29 years, died yesterday. He is survived by his mother and one sister, Miss Marie SWEET of this city. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday from the Gilbert undertaking establishment. Rev. John A. MacIntosh officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
BLOOM, Mrs. Carrie B.
Mrs. Carrie B. BLOOM of 651 Five Mile Drive died in Tompkins County Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening, July 26, 1955. She was a member of the Genoa Presbyterian Church and the Senior Citizens Council of Tompkins County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel BETHEL BAKER of Ithaca; a nephew, a great-nephew, and great-nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Wanger Funeral Home, 421 N. Aurora St. The Rev. Floyd DeFlyer of the State Street Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening.
MILLIGAN, Alfred L.
Funeral services for Alfred L. MILLIGAN of 209 Elm St., who died Sunday, July 24, 1955, were held this morning in the Shea Funeral Home. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William Byrne of the Church of the Immaculate Conception officiated. Burial was in Hayts Cemetery.
Bearers were Carl DIMMICK, Paul LUDGATE Jr., Walter SLATTERY, Raymond BODNER, Raymond LUCAN and Jack WESTER.
COMSTOCK, Benjamin Franklin
Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin COMSTOCK of the Town of Enfield, who died Friday, July 22, 1955, were held Monday afternoon in the Wagner Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Hanna of the Newfield Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Inlet Valley Cemetery. Bearers were Richard APTHORPE, Donald MCFALL, Vincent OLIVER, Herman KROL, Raymond SMITH and Fred BOCK.
KENYON, Charles H.
Charles H. KENYON, 76, of Hamlin, a fruit grower and a former president of the New York State Horticultural Society died at his home Wednesday, July 27, 1955. Formerly a town supervisor he was graduated from Brockport Normal School and was a special agricultural student at Cornell in 1901 and 1902. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura FISK KENYON; three daughters, Mrs. Philip GELLER of Floral Park, L.I., Mrs. Joseph KELLY of Brockport and Miss Margaret KENYON of Hamlin and a brother, Harry N. KENYON of Rochester.

Funeral services for Alfred L. MILLIGAN of 209 Elm St., who died July 24, 1955, will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Shea Funeral Home, 314 W. State St.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret MILLIGAN; three children, Michael, Alfred Jr., and Deborah MILLIGAN; his mother, Mrs. Jane DETRICK of Ithaca; his father, Albert S. MILLIGAN of Burdett; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lillian PERRY of Burdett; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell MILLER of Ithaca; two brothers, Alonzo R. MILLIGAN of Ithaca and Robert MILLIGAN of Burdett and a sister Donna Mae MILLIGAN of Ithaca.
Burial will be in Hayts Cemetery. Members of Loyal Order of Moose 666 will meet at their rooms at 7:30 p.m. today to go to the home to pay respects. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
HINE, Howard John
Howard John HINE, five day old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert HINE of South St., Newfield, died in Tompkins County Memorial Hospital this morning, Tuesday, July 26, 1955. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, David and Douglas; two sisters, Marsha and Virginia; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and mrs. Wilbur HINE, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie BAKER, all of Newfield; an uncle, two aunts, and cousins.
Prayer services and burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Edward Hanna of Newfield Methodist Church will officiate.
